The last beauty of the fall garden

Here is the last hurrah! The cosmos and giant marigolds are completely dwarfing the little lilac whose leaves are a soft magenta. The burgundy maple (close up of a perfect leaf) is a wonder of symmetry. And the sunshiny yellow giant dahlia has invited a plump bee to its center.

We had torrential rains and winds up to 50 mph today, so much of this is gone now. Dad and I went to the temple to continue work on the names from my dad's family, my great-great grandfather (Christian) John Munt (b. 1830) and my great-great-great-great grandmother Mary Pierce (Stiles) (b. 1766).

The day was wonderful!
